East River Equine Hospital

We are a progressive equine clinic providing sports medicine, internal medicine, reproduction, and dentistry for your equine athlete.

We are located just 1/8 of a mile north of Intersate 70 on State Road 227 North in Richmond, Indiana. The clinic is located in the rolling hills next to the Whitewater River on eight acres of fenced pasture. Access for large trailers is easy with a large looped driveway. We are 30 minutes from Dayton, Ohio and a one hour drive from Indianapolis, Indiana.

Clinic Facilities

East River Equine Hospital facilitates management of patients requiring routine or intensive care. The clinic houses examination areas, radiology & imaging area, surgery/recovery room, dental care area, laboratory, lameness examination areas, box stalls, and offices.

Special Interests

Special interests of East River Equine Hospital include wellness, preventative medicine, lameness diagnostics and treatment, equine dentistry, reproduction (breeding assistance, evaluation of mare and stallion), surgery, and purchase examinations.

Equine Medications

We have a complete pharmacy including compounded and hard to find medications. Mineral supplements, vitamins, medicated shampoos, leg paint, and poultices are also available. Bandage materials and first aid care supplies are well stocked.
